My name is Argenia Keeling and I am currently working as an English Instructor at The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH). I teach English Composition I and II as well as Business Writing and Technical Writing. I am also pursuing a Certification in Technical Communication at UAH.
By teaching English Composition, I am making a foundation for future professionals. Although the material in Composition varies from Technical Communication, students must learn the fundamentals in order to succeed in the professional world. Learning to write in Composition prepares them for other types of writing. I have learned the troubles that people have with certain areas of writing and have helped them conquer these troubles. This, in turn, has sharpened my own senses about writing.
In a class I took for my Certification, Problems in Technical Editing, I learned about document design and how important it is. I also learned about HTML and how to put things (such as this portfolio) onto the World Wide Web. I immensely enjoyed learning these new methods.
I am currently residing in Madison, AL, and would rather not move at this time.
