• To explain a process.
• To advocate a cause.
• To act as a portal.

Three design considerations for a good website should be:

• Identify your audience.
• Develop a clear statement of the purpose of the Web page or Web site.
• Take a look at other sites or pages that have a similar purpose.

Four of the common types of files found on the Internet are:

• music .mp3
• pictures .gif
• text .txt
• compressed files .zip

The types of ASCII files are: .html, .txt, .asc.

The types of BINARY files are: .gif, .jpg, .mp3.
