Introduction
Statement

My name is Amanda Caldwell. I am
currently pursuing my goal of becoming an Elementary Education teacher
at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. I was born and raised in
Winchester, TN and decided to leave the state to pursue my dream of
becoming a teacher right after high school. While attending UAH, I have
become involved in many campus activities. I have been a part of the
UAH Lancers, a Freshman Orientation COMPASS Counselor, and a member of
Delta Zeta Sorority, just to name a few. I have had a wonderful
time at UAH while fulfilling my lifelong dream of becoming a teacher.
When I moved away to college, I knew
exactly what I wanted to do with my life, and it was easy because ever
since childhood I have always wanted to become a teacher. Many of my
family members are part of the education community, and as a child I
was touched by a number of teachers who made my dream stronger. I have
always had a heart for children and a love for learning. Through these
aspects I have realized that I was given a special gift to become an
educator.
I am very excited about recieving my degree and I cannot wait to become
a teacher. All the wonderful lessons I have learned in my time in
college and through my student teaching will be put to great use when I
have my own classroom. I have always wanted to be an educator and I
find great joy in helping others succeed in life. This is why I believe
that giving children confidence and support is important to their
future and to the betterment of their lives.
